Oh how i love this anime <3
I have so much nostalgia from watching it through the first time, its so sweet and fun and fjdksjlf
So I'm watching it again!! Yay!! (Yeah, havent watched the movies yet. I think ill do that this weekend hehe)

So basically if you haven't seen it the beginning has a buncha introductory stuff, like Mametchi and his family and friends (which were introduced in the movies), but also some new stuff--we're intoduced to Gotchiman (whcih Mametchi is a huge fan of) and most importantly... Lovelin! :D

Shes kinda officiating thsi big race on Tama Street, and Mametchi joins cuz his friends took him along and also cuz this game console thingie has a controller that looks just like gotchiman's weapon

Adorable but how does one play with that controller its literally just a button lmao... maybe 3 buttons? not sure xD

"Gotchiiiii... Beam!!!!"

He has competition tho :3c

(Kuromametchi) "Mametchi's all fired up... but that won't help him."

(I love him sm you dont understand <3 i legit had the biggest crush on him in middle school i would think about him and start giggling n i would rewatch clips of him over and over cuz i loved him so much fjkldsjfak)

Also now that im here I just wanna mention. I fuckin HATE this guy TamaPtchi.

I swear he has an ulterior motive of some sort. He does nothing in this show to redeem himself. All he does is use Lovelin for his own advantage. I guess he cares about her a little and definitely more than i assume most producers in the idol industry but i swear its not genuine. I dont like him at all >:(

This guy (ADtchi) i actually kinda like but he's an accomplice so bleh. Mananetchi on the other hand is precious and adorable and a huge help to Lovelin and I love her <3

Okay enough of the negativity (sorrgy i get carried away ranting about them)--anyway yeah the race starts, theres a buncha different events n contests along the way, the first one is hamburger making which Kuchipatchi just barely succeeds at cuz he keeps eating the ingredients 😭 he eats so many he turns into a ball (which ends up being a personality stage on the 4u actually :3c) and bounces onto the rooftops along the street for the whole race xD

At the end tho Mametchi, in the lead, turns from the finish line to save him (and my beloved Kuromametchi follows)

So after that he ends up being saved, Lovelin notices this (which will be important later), yadda yadda the end :) i love this episode, honestly a great start to the series

She gave them all this card as a participation prize--fun fact, it was removed in the english (and mayyybe the chinese/mandarin(?) one?) dub cuz its a reference to the Tamagotchi Data Carddass series which doesnt exist outside of japan. Adorable :>

Oh yeah i completely forgot to mention, the Spacy Brothers appear!! I really like them (and they seem to be a bit of a fan favorite hehe), I find them pretty funny and their arc later on is quite nice :) no spoilers tho hehehe
